Hmmm........ Do you want a Pet Portrait done in Oils or Pastel.

Oil Portraits are done on stretched canvas and varnished. They are not framed under glass, you simply wipe with a damp cloth to clean them. I also paint on canvas board for artwork on special frames, like to fit in an oval frame. Below are a few commissions that were done in Oils.

Pastel Portraits are done on acid free paper with pastels which are pure pigment. The paper is mounted and matted with more acid free board. The matt is 2" to 3" wide and adds to the overall size of finished pastel. An 8" x 10" pastel painting would need an 11" x 14" frame. Pastels will smear like chalk if touched, therefore are framed under glass. I will only ship pastels flat, not rolled. Below are some commissions done in pastel, like the kitten above after a butterfly.
